The test you will need to pass to qualify for OCAJP certification consists of 70 multiple-choice questions and lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes. This means that on average you have at your disposal about 2 minutes per question. Questions may have many correct answers. For each question you are informed about the number of correct answers. If a question has more than one correct answer, then you will have to locate all (and only the correct ones) in order for your answer to be considered correct. The score required to qualify is 65%.
The content of the questions refers generally to Java’s core language (Java Object Model, Basic Classes, Exceptions, Lambda Expressions), but it is quite specialized, interested in details and often explores extreme language issues. The OCAJP certification exam is quite demanding, which makes it necessary for special exam preparation even for developers with rich professional experience.
